As part of VCSTIMELESS’ objective
to become Europe’s leading software
solutions and professional services provider to speciality
retailers within the next five years, the company
opens its retail branch in the UK where it intends
to duplicate success.
To achieve such ambitious objectives,
VCSTIMELESS is implementing a rigorous strategy
spearheaded
by Michel Ramis, the Group’s new CEO. His
priorities are to penetrate new markets within
Europe, develop strategic partnerships and alliances,
increase the Group’s presence, promote the
VCSTIMELESS retail suite and reinforce the leitmotif
of the group: to offer the highest levels in customer
services.
VCSTIMELESS, part of the Christie
Group plc, plans to quadruple its turnover in 5 years
time from
13 million Euros to more than 50 million Euros
in 2007. More than half of this will be generated
outside France where the company’s headquarters
are based.
VCSTIMELESS’ client base was formerly
predominantly fashion and textile based and indeed
the company
has more than 350 customers in these areas of activity.
VCSTIMELESS is already penetrating new sectors
of activity: larger retailers and new geographical
markets.
Continuous research and development
In order to succeed in it’s ambitious expansion
plan, VCSTIMELESS is engaging in a unprecedented
R&D programme. More than €10 million are
being injected into research and development. The
VCSTIMELESS
retail suite is to operate on a variety
of operating platforms such as SQL Server and thin
client (JAVA). The Group unveils the development
of the new version of the Colombus
suite on Oracle,
at Retail Solutions. All developments are carried
out by the Group’s international R&D
team based in Montpellier, the birthplace of the
Colombus suite.
Strategic partnerships with hardware
and EAI providers mean that the Colombus
suite is easily integrated
into a retailer’s IT infrastructure by reducing
the number of interfaces required. VCSTIMELESS
is also strengthening alliances with major logistics
providers, consultants and complimentary service
providers across Europe and locally in the UK.
Customer
service has always been at the heart of the VCSTIMELESS
strategy. This will be strengthened
and continued in the UK market. As a client-centric
organisation, VCSTIMELESS offers a client extranet and an international
help desk currently available
in 6 languages: English, French, German, Spanish,
Italian and Portuguese, available 7 days a week
between the hours of 08:30 and 22:00 CET. Among
the other customer services available are an annual
User Conference, client-driven User
Club, training,
audits, consulting and installation.
VCSTIMELESS
has opened offices in the UK, Spain and Italy and
has a large network of distributors,
resellers and partners across the rest of Europe,
Africa, Latin and North America. Distribution networks
will be established in Germany, the Benelux countries,
Scandinavia and Eastern Europe.
